The Bangalore Golf Club is located in the heart of the city. It is easily accessible from the Bangalore International airport, is a stone’s throw from Vidhana Soudha and in the midst of a large number of upmarket hotels. Apart from being an unforgettable golf experience, it also provides much needed lung space to Bangalore, through its large number of trees and open area. Visitors arriving at Bangalore from the airport are treated to gorgeous views of the lush, green course.
BGC is the oldest golf course outside of the British Isles. Established on a summer evening on June 24th of 1876, the land was previously used by an army regiment as a rifle range & training area. The course started with a 12 hole design & was transformed many a time, the last being a redesign in 2000.
