The Royal Calcutta Golf Course was founded in 1829 and is that the oldest golf course within the world, outside British Isles. It is an 18 hole, PAR 72 course with a distance of 6,827 yards for the women and 7,189 yards for the men.
Greens at Royal are small by modern standards, however undulations make them tricky and there’s somewhat nap. The tenth fairway contains 2 large tanks that need close to good shots so as to keep up PAR. At first glance the course seems to be easy however the PAR 4 need long drives and a good quantity of talent. The club is open the whole year and additionally offers a bar and dining facilities, a swimming pool, billiards, bowling and tennis.
The Royal Calcutta Golf Course is simply another of India’s exciting and diverse golf courses It has its own unique environment which will not be found in other courses.
